The Research Institute for National Security and Green Development at Jiangnan University is a research platform directly under the auspices of Jiangnan University, a key construction university of the National "211 Project" and one dedicated to first-class discipline construction.
Under the research institute are the "National Numerical Intelligence Security and Green Development Evaluation Research (Engineering) Center," "Emergency Management and Occupational Safety and Health Research Center," "Yangtze River Delta Urban Dual-Carbon Governance and Technology Application Center," "Ecological Civilization and Rural Vitalization Cooperative Joint Research Base," and the "National Security and Green Development Science Popularization Education (Research Learning) Base," consisting of three centers and two bases.
In the past five years, the institute's core research team has led over 20 national-level projects including two major tender projects of the National Social Science Fund and one key project. It has also conducted over 70 major and key provincial and ministerial level projects and horizontal collaborations. The team has overseen more than 10 provincial and ministerial-level teaching projects, published over 400 SCI/SSCI/CSSCI papers in authoritative international journals, authored more than 10 monographs, and written four textbooks. It has won more than 20 science research achievement awards at the provincial level and above, including the Second Prize of the Ministry of Education's Excellent Research Outcome Award for Higher Education (Humanities and Social Sciences), two First Prizes for Excellent Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences of Jiangsu Province, and the Sun Yueqi Energy Science and Technology Award - Youth Science and Technology Award. Additionally, the institute has been honored with the Jiangsu Province Graduate Education Reform Achievement Award, the National Coal Industry Teaching Achievement Second Prize, and other distinguished accolades.
