Wuge Briscoe is Professor of Physical Chemistry and School International Director. His research at Bristol has focused on organised soft interfacial structures, particularly the interactions they mediate. After his PhD at the IWRI, University of South Australia, He spent several years in Oxford, first as a postdoctoral fellow, then as an EPSRC Postdoctoral Fellow at Life Science Interface and a (Guy Newton) junior research fellow at Wolfson College, before joining Bristol. He collaborates with companies such as P&G and Snow Business. He also winned a 2017 Vice Chancellor’s Impact Award as well as “Best R&D Project” award at the Cotswold Life Engineering Manufacturing Innovation awards. He also serves as the Honourable Secretary and Treasurer, International Association of Colloid and Interface Scientists (IACIS) since Nov 2018.
