History of School of Biotechnology
TheSchool of Biotechnology and its predecessors, as the birthplace of Chinese fermentation engineering discipline, founded the first fermentation engineering major in 1952, and then established the fermentation engineering laboratory under the food Industry department in 1958.In 1984, the Department of Fermentation Engineering was evolved from the fermentation engineering laboratory, then became to be the first national key discipline of fermentation engineering of China in 1988. in 1995, the School of Biotechnology was established and developed to be one of the most influential and competitive biotechnology schools in China.
