Application and Admission of Jiangnan University

江南大学为孔子学院奖学金项目招生院校。根据孔子学院总部/国家汉办相关文件精神，特制定江南大学孔子学院奖学金申请流程及遴选条件。

Jiangnan University (JU) is a host institute of Confucius Institute Scholarship. Based on the requirements and regulations of Confucius Institute Headquarters (hereinafter referred to as Hanban), JU has set the application and admission process.

一、奖学金项目招生类别

I. Scholarship Category

江南大学2020年奖学金项目招生类别为：四周研修生、一学期研修生及一学年研修生，研修专业为汉语言文学和汉语研修。

In 2020, JU can offer Confucius Institute Scholarship in three categories: four-week study, one-semester study and one-academic-year study. The study subjects for all the three categories are included Chinese Language and Literature, as well as Chinese language study.

二、资助对象

II. Application Eligibility

1.非中国籍人士;

2.身心健康，品学兼优;

3.有志于从事中文教育、教学及相关工作;

4.年龄为16-35周岁（统一以2020年9月1日计）。在职中文教师放宽至45周岁，本科奖学金申请者一般不超过25周岁。

a) non-Chinese citizens;

b) in good physical and mental conditions, and with good academic performance and conduct;

c) committed to the Chinese language education and related work;

d) between the ages of 16 and 35 (as of September 1st, 2020). Applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers shall not be over 45, while undergraduate student applicants shall not be over 25.

三、奖学金类别及申请条件

III. SCHOLARSHIP TYPES AND QUALIFICATIONS

1.四周研修生：2020年7月入学，资助期限为4周。不录取护照上有X1、X2签证者。孔子学院专项四周生方向，具有HSK成绩。可由孔子学院组团进行报名，并事先联系接收院校确定在华学习计划，提前报总部审批，每团10-15人。

a) Four-week study applicants:The program commences either in July or December 2020, and provides a four-week scholarship. Applicants holding the X1 or X2 visa are not eligible.

i. Special Four-week Program for Confucius Institutes

An HSK test score is required. The program may be organized and applied for by a Confucius Institute with 10-15 participants per group. Prior to the trip, a detailed study plan shall be made in consultation with host institutions and such plan shall be submitted to CIH for approval.

2.一学期研修生：2020年9月、2021年3月入学，资助期限为5个月。不录取护照上有X1、X2签证者。汉语言文学方向，汉语考试成绩达到HSK（三级）180分，具有HSKK成绩。

b) One-Semester study applicants:The program commences either in September 2020 or March 2021, and provides scholarship of a maximum of five months. Applicants holding the X1 or X2 visa are not eligible.

i. Chinese Language and Literature

Applicants shall have a minimum score of 180 on the HSK test (Level 3), and an HSKK test score is required.

3.一学年研修生：2020年9月入学，资助期限为11个月。不录取在华留学生。汉语言文学方向，汉语考试成绩达到HSK（四级）180分、HSKK（中级）60分；汉语研修方向，汉语考试成绩达到HSK（三级）210分，提供HSKK成绩者优先。

c) One-academic-year study applicants:The program commences in September 2020, and provides scholarship for a maximum of eleven months. International students currently studying in China are not eligible.

i. Chinese Language and Literature

Applicants shall have a minimum score of 180 on the HSK test (Level 4) and 60 on the HSKK test (Intermediate Level).

ii. Chinese Language Study

Applicants shall have a minimum score of 210 on the HSK test (Level 3). Priority will be given to applicants who provide an HSKK test score.

四、奖学金资助内容及标准

1.免交学费

2.免费提供校内住宿

3.为奖学金生购买综合医疗保险

4.提供每月2500元人民币的生活费(四周研修生除外)

IV. Scholarship Value

The Confucius Institute Scholarship covers:

a) Tuition Fee

b) Accommodation Fee

c) Comprehensive Medical Insurance Fee

d) Monthly Allowance (2500 RMB/month,four-week study applicants are not included.)

五、申请程序

1.2020年3月1日起，申请者可登录国际中文教师奖学金（孔子学院奖学金）报名网站（cis.chinese.cn）申请孔子学院奖学金。 登录奖学金网站，查询推荐机构与接收院校；在线提交申请材料。关注申请进程、审核意见与奖学金评审结果。

2.受汉办委托，各国孔子学院（独立设置的孔子课堂），有关海外汉语考试考点，中国驻外使（领）馆教育、文化处（组）作为推荐机构收取、审核并向接收院校转交申请材料。

3.我校审核学生申请材料并向国家汉办提交预录取名单。

4.国家汉办对申请者进行综合评审，择优录取并于入学前三个月完成评审工作，公布评审结果。

5.我校向推荐机构或学生本人寄送录取材料。

V. Application Process

a) Online registration will be available from March 1, 2020 on the International Chinese Language Teachers (Confucius Institute) Scholarship application website (cis.chinese.cn). Please log on to search for recommending institutions and host institutions; upload application materials online; and track the application progress, comments and result.

b) Entrusted by Hanban, Confucius Institutes (independent Confucius Classrooms), overseas Chinese language testing centers, educational and cultural sections of Chinese embassy and consulate are functioning as recommending institutions to engage in the applicant selection, materials review, host institutions connection, and collecting and handing over applicants’ documents to host institutions.

c) JU reviews the application materials and submit provisional admission list to Hanban.

d) Hanban organizes overall assessment of applications and confirms the admission list. The admission result will be published in three months before admission.

e) JU mails the admission materials to applicants directly or through recommending institutions.

六、申请材料

一、与所有申请者有关的证明材料

1．护照照片页扫描件。

2．HSK、HSKK成绩报告（有效期两年）扫描件。

3．推荐机构负责人的推荐信。

二、在职中文教师须附上就职机构出具的在职证明和推荐信。

三、未满18周岁的申请者，须提交在华监护人署名的委托证明文件。

四、申请者还须提供接收院校要求的其他证明材料。

VI.Application Materials

a) For all applicants:

i. a scanned copy of passport photo page;

ii. a scanned copy of score reports of the HSK and HSKK tests (within the two-year validity);

iii. a reference letter by the head of the recommending institutions.

b) Applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers shall provide proof of employment as well as a reference letter by the employer.

c) Applicants under the age of 18 shall provide certified documents of designation signed by their entrusted legal guardians in China.

d) Applicants shall also provide additional documents required by the host institutions.

七、申请截止日期

四周研修生：4月10日（2020年7月入学）

一学年研修生：5月10日或11月10日（2020年9月或2021年3月入学）

VII.Application deadline

Four-week study applicants: April 10^th(Admission: July 2020)

One-year applicants: May 10^thor November 10^th(Admission: September 2020 or March 2021)
