Research Experience

Dr. Shao's research focuses on photochemistry and biomedicine. The lab has been conducting innovative research in the field of building up fluorescent tools for bioorthogonal labeling of proteins of interest and controlled release and targeted therapy of fluorescent drugs. We have accumulated theoretical knowledge and sufficient scientific skills in the use of aggregation induced fluorescence (AIE) for biological imaging, as well as in the construction of fusion proteins for studying protein interactions and high-throughput drug screening.
