Bio

Dr. Jun HU was born in 1990 in Sichuan , China. He obtained his B.S. in Chemistry in 2014 and later a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry (specialized in Mass Spectrometry) in 2019 from Nanjing University with Prof. Jing-Juan XU. After postdoctoral work with Prof. Yun Chen at Nanjing Medical University from 2019 to 2021, he moved to Jiangnan University to start his independent career in 2022. His research focuses on the developments of advanced mass spectrometric techniques for (bio)chemistry and clinical medicine. Positions are available in his lab, probably two for master's degrees and one for doctoral degree every year.

Research Interests

My research goal is to develop advanced mass spectrometric techniques for (bio)chemistry and clinical medicine. I am particularly interested in developing low-delay MS methods for capturing and identifying the transient and fragile intermediates in electrocatalytic, photocatalytic and enzyme catalytic reactions, to gain in-depth understanding of reaction mechanism as well as rationalize designs of sustainable reactions. I am currently also interested in developing high-throughput MS methods for clinical analysis, with the objective of early diagnosis of diseases and fundamental insights into pathogenesis.
